Democracy for Citizens Party parliamentary aspirant Owen Ndung'u Wanjiku has renewed his call for balanced and inclusive development across Kikuyu Constituency, arguing that every ward deserves equal access to public investment and essential services.
According to Owen, several parts of the constituency continue to face poor infrastructure despite years of government promises.
He points to areas such as Sigona, Nachu, Karai, and parts of Kinoo as examples where residents continue to experience poor road networks, inadequate drainage systems, and unreliable access to clean water.
He argues that development should never be influenced by political interests or private gain. Instead, he believes government projects should be planned through public participation and implemented based on the priorities of local communities.
Owen maintains that reliable infrastructure is not only essential for improving the quality of life but also for creating economic opportunities, supporting local businesses, and attracting investment into the constituency.
He has pledged to champion equitable allocation of public resources and advocate for greater transparency in the planning and implementation of development projects.
In his view, every resident, regardless of where they live within Kikuyu Constituency, deserves access to quality infrastructure and public services.
As he continues engaging residents across the constituency, Owen says his development agenda will focus on ensuring that no community is left behind and that every ward receives its fair share of government investment.
